Announcements
Mini Regionals: We have two “mini” (scrimmages) regionals coming up.
- The Sussex scrimmage is Sunday February 19, 2023. This is an all day practice scrimmage and the entire team is encouraged to attend. The permission slip has been posted to the #general channel on SLACK and is due Wednesday February 15.
- Milwaukee Robotics Academy (MRA) scrimmage is Saturday February 25. Due to the limited space at their facility we are limiting this event to the drive team and one or two other students, plus only 2 mentors. Permission Slip for this event will be sent out within the next week to those that will be attending.
Northern Lights Competition: Permission slips and money are due by Wednesday February 15 for those that are attending.
Robot Reveal Party: Everyone should have received an email invite to the Robot Reveal Party on Tuesday February 21, 2023. Please fill out the RVSP form found in the email if you are able to make it. The form and money is due Tuesday February 14.
Mechanical
The Mechanical team has continued to test different claw designs to find what size of claw will work the best for them. The rest of the mechanical team has worked on building and updating the team’s carts and tables for our pit this year.
Electrical
The electrical team has been working this past week to completely wire the competition robot. This included the elevator, arm, and intake. The process is labor intensive and took several days, including most of Saturday. In addition they have begun setting up the pneumatic system which will be used by the intake and grabber subsystems that require compressed air this year.
Programming
The programming team has continued to work on the programs of their respective subsystems. They have continued to work on programming the limelight vision system the robot will use this year. Programmers also continued to work on the elevator and arm code and began the intake and grabber code. Once the robot is received from the electrical team testing of all subsystems will begin.
