Shooter

The shooter team fabricated their turret plates early in the week, which allowed them to test and let the programmers start code for turret positioning. They then began to fabricate the necessary parts for the shooter hood. They fully assembled and were able to partially test the variable hood and turret together before identifying a design issue with the motor placement. They are planning to design and fabricate new side plates for the shooter on Monday allowing them to fix this issue.

Cargo Handling

The cargo handling team finished their CAD and manufactured parts this week. They worked on the CNC machine all week and have all parts made out of sheet metal and polycarbonate cut out. They bent some of their aluminum parts—a first for the team—and are currently milling the holes in the square tubes they are using. They assembled the bottom two axles of the intake and will be able to fully assemble the mechanism once milling is complete early this week.

Climber

Business

The business team participated in last week’s Warrior Winterizer and were able to show off the team to the school and community. They programmed small Romi robots for people at the Winterizer to race around a small course. The team has also been working to prepare for this year’s robot reveal banquet which will be held on February 16th.
