Thank You!
- Thank you to the Mirons and Danihels for providing lunch this Saturday for the team.
Shooter
The shooter team has been working on electrical and programming this last week. Throughout the week they worked with the other subsystems to wire the robot. They currently have temporary wiring on the turret that will be finalized in the coming weeks to ensure it doesn’t get caught when the turret turns. On Saturday, they worked on programming. They were able to use the Limelight vision camera to automatically turn the turret with the target and adjust the hood angle based on distance. Next week, they will continue tuning the turret and hood and work on turret wiring.
Cargo Handling
The cargo handling team had a quiet week as they wired, helped other subsystems, and began testing. After getting everything wired they worked on preparing the belly pan for the robot and getting ready for the robot reveal. On Saturday they were able to run the subsystem with code and found some places to improve intaking and the transition to the shooter. They swapped the gearbox on the feeder motor for a better transition to the shooter and are currently changing the pneumatic position for actuating the intake in and out. Next week, they will move the pneumatics and do more testing to ensure they are intaking as intended.
Climber
The climber team has been working to get the climber ready for Wednesday’s Robot Reveal. They redesigned the hooks used for climbing and worked to ensure the climber had enough force to pull the robot up. This next week they will be working hard to finish the climber and get the robot in the air with programmers.
Business
The business team had a busy week preparing for the Robot Reveal. The whole team is excited to show off all of their hard work they have been doing on the robot. They finished buying and ordering everything they needed as well as preparing and room layout and schedule for the evening. They will be busy leading up to the reveal ensuring that everything is ready so the team can show off their hard work. Congratulations to Wes and Kierstin for this year’s Dean’s List Semifinalists for our team.
